Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg, who shared a post on her personal Instagram account, stated that she was showing new types of coronavirus (COVID-19) symptoms with her acting father, Svante Thunberg. The 17-year-old activist, who said they had quarantined themselves at home for the past two weeks after their European travel, said, “I was good at the beginning. But after a few days I started to feel some symptoms.” Thunberg, who was chosen ‘Person of the Year’ by TIME magazine in 2019, said that his throat hurts, trembles and coughs, and his father who travels with him shows the same symptoms. Our behavior may be the difference between death and life for many others. ” Stating that hospitals in Sweden do not perform coronavirus testing unless urgent treatment is required, Thunberg said that he was not 100 percent sure that he was infected, but his father showed exactly COVID-19 symptoms. 36 people have died in the Scandinavian country so far due to the new type of coronavirus. Thunberg, who refused to go to school on Friday to protest the Swedish government’s policies on climate change in 2018, made his name heard by actions in front of the Swedish parliament.
