The virus has been infected by tens of thousands of people worldwide and caused thousands of people to die. The rapidly spreading coronavirus has been seen in 60 countries so far . China, the country where the virus first appeared, was the country most affected by the virus. The majority of the 95,000 infected people and 3,300 people who died due to the virus are in China. The Chinese administration continues to work to stop the virus outbreak and find its treatment. Along with the methods of the administration, the local people are trying to prevent infection by their own methods.

Chinese authorities therefore decided to disinfect the banknotes used . Banknotes are disinfected in bank branches under ultraviolet light at high temperature. Coins that have been disinfected are kept in quarantine for 14 days. After 14 days of quarantine, the coins are re-used.
