Koenigsegg announced that it was planning a new version of the car that could reach up to 490 km / h while introducing the standard model at the Geneva Motor Show about a year ago. Despite the fact that the fair in Geneva was canceled this year due to the Corona virus, the Swedish automotive giant did not hesitate to share its big surprise. The new model, whose name is Jesko Absolut, was introduced on the internet, while the highest speed at which the vehicle could be reached was not shared. The company claimed that Jesko Absolut is the fastest Koenigsegg vehicle ever produced, referring to the new model as an “Incredibly fast” and “Exceptional speed” vehicle. The new vehicle is thought to have reached more than 490 km / h at the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+. High horsepower: The basis for the success of Jesko Absolut is the twin-turbo 5.0-liter V8 engine. This engine produces 1,280 horsepower and 1,000 Nm of torque with normal gasoline. When the E85 is passed, the engine reaches 1,600 horsepower and 1,500 Nm of torque. Jesko Absolut has an impressive friction coefficient of 0.2278. The car’s maximum suppression power is 1,400 kilograms. More than 3,000 hours of time was spent on aerodynamic analysis to reach this point. The car’s design and engineering parts took more than 5,000 hours to complete. This is more than the company spends for standard Jesko. While the curb weight of the vehicle is measured as 1,320 kilograms, it is the lightweight structure consisting of carbon fiber monocoque. In the 0/400/0 km / h test, the record was once again broken by Koenigsegg. Koenigsegg managed to break his new record with the ‘Regera’ model. Regera’s 0/400/0 km / h duration was 31.49 seconds. Koenigsegg was planning to participate in the Geneva Motor Show with the Mission 500 concept, aiming to exceed the 500 km / h speed threshold.
