It is common for people to cover their body with tattoos, but this is the first time we see a tattoo on a car. Japanese automaker Lexus showcased the world’s first tattooed car. UX model SUV car with needle-drawn patterns on its body has a unique design designed by tattoo artist Claudia De Sabe. Claudia used the dremel instead of a fine tattoo needle while tattooing the car, which was actually white in color, and drew a design with Koi fish on the body of the vehicle. Koi is a motif that represents good luck and determination in traditional Japanese art. Claudia used dremel to pierce the paint on the surface and create patterns on the metal underneath. Then he applied 5 liters of high quality car paint to reveal the details. He used golden leaves to give the design a more powerful 3D effect. Finally, he completed the design by applying lacquer polish so that the vehicle can be used on the roads. The first drawing phase on the car took 6 months. The tattoos were then completed as a result of eight hours of work, which lasted for 5 days. The project was a tribute to the design details and takumi mastery that requires years of special training, applied to every Lexus. Lexus works with the takumi masters who have 60 thousand hours of experience in the testing stages of their vehicles. Takumi masters have the ability to see signs and errors that cannot be seen with an untrained eye at a glance, to understand whether the engine is working correctly and to feel millimeter defects at a touch.
