The Eternals, which will meet with the audience this fall, will host a gay kissing scene for the first time in the history of the 25-film Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Out of the mold with the first black superhero movie Black Panther and the first solo female superhero movie Captain Marvel, Marvel Studios will have made another significant opening in the MCU with its new movie The Eternals, which will draw attention to the LGBTI community. Of course, it is difficult to say that this situation pleases everyone. The fundamentalist nonprofit, One Million Moms, against LGBTI rights, pornography and abortion, called for a boycott against The Eternals for the first gay kissing scene in the history of MCU. The cast of The Eternals One Million Moms, who accused Marvel of “normalizing the LGBTI lifestyle and making families insensitive about it”, has launched a campaign signed by more than 14,000 people so far. “We want parents to be warned beforehand to avoid getting caught off guard for the new Marvel movie. The film will surprise most conservative families, as it will have unexpected elements. By reaching as many people as possible, we aim to prevent this situation ”, the non-governmental organization argues that children should not be allowed to watch the movie. One of the branches of the American Family Association, which has been operating since 1977, One Million Moms has recently engaged in many boycott actions for companies that support the community, as well as LGBTI related movies, television shows or commercials. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, Toy Story 4 and Lucifer are just some of the productions the organization has called for a boycott before. Among them is now Marvel’s new movie, The Eternals. In the director’s chair, the movie, where Chloe Zhao sits, was written by Matthew and Ryan Firpo duo. The Eternals, which includes giant names such as Angelina Jolie, Richard Madden, Salma Hayek and Kit Harrington, will be released on November 6.
