California-based company Laffite, founded by ex-racing pilot Bruno Laffite and his wife Laetitia, unveiled the new off-road vehicle X-Road, which appears to have skyrocketed from the Dakar rally. Launched as the world’s first land-oriented supercar, the vehicle delivers a stone-throwing performance to SUVs thanks to its suspension system. X-Road is of course not the world’s first off-road vehicle. Laffite does not claim otherwise. Resembling Toyota’s popular crossover model C-HR with its design, X-Road looks more like a suspension supercar. Here is the world’s first land-oriented supercar Promising tremendous power and exceptional performance, the off-road vehicle is powered by General Motors (GM )’s 6.2-liter LS3 V8 engine. It is precisely for this reason that the X-Road offers a power option between 476 horsepower and 730 horsepower. According to Laffite’s website, an electric version of the vehicle will be produced in the future. Available in five-speed in-line gearbox and six-speed versions mounted on the steering wheel, the X-Road can only carry two people. The rear-wheel drive car comes with a suspension distance of 43 cm. Laffite announced that the X-Road, which it plans to start deliveries in late 2020, will have an initial price of $ 465,000. The price tag of the electric variant will start at $ 545,000. Explaining that it will take orders from all over the world, the American company stated that the production will be limited to 30 pieces for now.
