The update is being distributed via over-the-air to selected users of the Mi Pilot program, which offers access to experimental versions of Xiaomi’s operating system. As expected, the current edition of the interface is based on Android 10, as the next version of Google’s OS is still in development. The MIUI 12 global update arrived on the Mi 9T first. The device received Xiaomi’s customized interface with firmware V12.0.0.11.QFJMIXM, in stable beta version. The installation of the operating system requires 655 MB of free space. Mi 9 has already been updated with version 12.0.0.8.QFAMIXM. Last year’s top-of-the-line smartphone was awarded the largest beta update package and requires 1.1 GB of free space to install MIUI 12. Finally, installing the MIUI 12 beta takes the Mi 9T Pro system to the 12.0.0.8.QFKMIXM edition. The installation also requires about 1 GB of free space on the device’s storage.
