The new thumbnail, called the A / B test, which is the subject of preference determination testing based on examining reactions of users with similar features, appeared in the YouTube Android app. Wider area to the image In the currently used YouTube thumbnails, the preview image of a video is roughly one third of the screen, while on the side there is informative content such as the title and channel name of the video. In the other image tried in the test, the video covers a very large area, in a sense, it comes to the size of the video previews we see on the main page. Information such as the title of the video and its channel, is located just below the video. With the new interface change, how we see videos on YouTube’s home screen, discovery screen, and subscription screen is changing. Even if the image is enlarged, the number of details given is not decreased, while the number of video recommendations on the screen decreases. The latest trends show that users prefer previews that they can watch more easily. YouTube is also following this trend at some point. This seems to be a method by which content producers can provide more awareness. It is not yet known whether YouTube will offer this feature to all users.
