This function was based on the “Tactile Touch” (late 3D Touch): when you touched and pressed a photo, a link or other content, WhatsApp displayed this quick sharing shortcut with frequent contacts. The feature, seen as a facilitator, eliminated the need to open the application and select a contact in the middle of the process. In order not to eliminate once and for all a shortcut for quick sharing, the messenger added a small icon that serves to open the list of contacts in the app itself. Did it go bad? The measure was not officially announced by the application team. The fast sharing feature with frequent contacts was launched in early 2020 for iOS devices. It may have been removed after complaints from users with frequent crashes on certain types of files, such as spreadsheets. With this in mind, the change may have been more structural to ensure the stability of the application. As it is a cut in a beta version, it is also worth noting that the measurement may not be permanent. More recently, a beta version of WhatsApp has enabled the ability to sign in on two devices with the same account. Another mention of a new feature talks, once again, about self-destructive messages, but nothing has been brought to the final version so far.
