In addition to the work done on the software, this was possible because the chipset used by the Mi 6 is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835. Since the Snapdragon 820, Qualcomm has been acting more directly to distribute its platform also to computers. The idea is to launch powerful chipsets with low energy consumption. During the Snapdragon Summit 2019, an event that took place in December, Qualcomm announced the new Snapdragon 7c and 8c processors dedicated to Windows notebooks. But, in the case of the Mi 6, we are talking about a chipset also from 2017, although it is from the manufacturer’s most powerful line. An image released on MyDrivers shows the Mi 6 after installing this version of Windows 10, more specifically on the screen that the system asks the user to connect a keyboard to complete the configuration. No details were given on the installation of Windows 10 on the Xiaomi Mi 6, nor were videos released showing the operation of the system on the smartphone. But, of course, it is remarkable that a smartphone over three years old managed to run a full version of Windows 10.
